Values & Testimony

Hi, My name is Kyrsten Spurrier and I am a pelvic floor therapist in Hillsborough, NC. I have been practicing as an occupational therapist for the last 8 years. Pelvic floor therapy was introduced to me after birth trauma of my first son. I realized through the 1.5 years of going to a pelvic floor therapist that there is a great need to be better.

Having pelvic floor dysfunction is not only a physical limitation, it impacts your relationships, effects your mood and self confidence and makes you question if you will ever feel like yourself again. I remember thinking to myself, "I hope that I get to a point that I don't have to think about my bowel movements or if I am going to leak playing with my kids."

Through OT school we are educated to look at the whole person and in my experience of having 2 babies it has shown me that we could do better journeying along side the perinatal population to improve women's experiences.

This is my reason I want to create a place that women feel empowered, educated, and supported to heal in the ways that they need. I have spent the last 4 years educating myself to be able to give you tools to reclaim your life. You are worth the time and investment to be supported and feel proud of your body.
